MARGUERITA C. JOHNSON
Retired school teacher
Marguerita C. Johnson of Marin City died Saturday, March 10, 1990 at the Rafael Convalescent hospital in San Rafael. She was 76.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Illinois, and lived in Marin City for the past 20 years.
She worked for 30 years as a teacher for the Mill Valley School District.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Village Baptist Church in Marin City; a past member of the Marin County Commission on Aging; and a former director of the Marin City Community Development Corp.
She is survived by four sons, Bernard E. Johnson of Albany, Louis Johnson of Springfield, Ill., Francis Johnson of Bollingbrook, Ill., and Lawrence Johnson of Germantown, Md.; one daughter, Emma L. Johnson of Champagne, Ill.; one brother, Louis Chism of Oakland; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Village Baptist Church in Marin City.
Her family asked that memorial donations go to the United Negro College Fund.
Arrangements are by the Neptune Society in Oakland.
