ZIMMERMAN, Bettie Marie (Yoder) -- in San Francisco on October 3, 2001, age 80. Born in Williamsburg, Iowa. Bettie, a Registrered Nurse since 1942 worked at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A longtime resident of Whittier, California, Bettie started the Neonatal Unit at Presbyterian Hospital in 1960. Later she worked in the pediatric offices of doctors Mc Donald, Swift and Settelmayer for over 18 years. Her husband, Cecil, of 52 years preceded her in 1994, at which time she moved to San Francisco to live with her son. She is survived by her three children, Barry, of Hayden Lake, ID, Karen Neely of Novato, CA and Terry of San Francisco, as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There will be a private memorial service in San Francisco on October 27th. The family requests donations in her honor be made to the Red Cross.
