Helen I. Irvine Dies At 61

Private funeral for Helen I. Irvine, 61, of 1374 San Anselmo Avenue, San Anselmo, was held today at Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, San Anselmo. Private inurnment followed.

Mrs. Irvine, operator of Helen’s San Anselmo Beauty Shoppe, was found dead at her home Saturday evening. The Marin County coroner’s office attributed death to natural causes.

Milo T. Andrews of 40 Suffield Avenue told police he found Mrs. Irvine dead on a lIving room couch when he went to her home at 6:30 p.m. to see why she had not arrived at his house for dinner with Andrews, his wife and another couple.

A native of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Irvine had lived in Marin approximately 40 years and had run the beauty shop more than 30 yeas. She was the widow of the late Frank Irvine, chief marine engineer for Standard Oil Company of California.

Memorial contributions to the Marin County Heart Association are preferred.
