DIEBOLD, Frank - Passed away Sunday, October 6, 2002 in Novato, CA. Born July 5, 1919 in San Francisco to parents Charles and Lydia Diebold. He was among the first graduating class of George Washington High School. Frank was employed as a diamond setter for many years. Frank's interest as a youth revolved around woodworking projects and collecting coins and stamps. Due to his interest in building, he left his father's business and assumed a position at the Fairmont Hotel in construction. He was a WW II veteran and an avid reader of history. His library was another of his favorite hobbies. He spent his later years reading collectors albums of American history. His great grandfather served as ambassador in foreign affairs and he collected many news articles on his wanderings.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Elsie. He is survived by his daughter Peggy, grandson Clint, and sister-in-law Eleanor. He also leaves his nieces Linda (Ken) and Georgina (George).

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 27th at 2:30 pm at Keaton's Redwood Chapel, 1801 Novato Blvd, Novato. Memorial Contributions preferred to the Salvation Army.
