Jeanne C. Dinsmore
Jeanne Coakley Dinsmore passed away August 11, 2002, at the age of 68. She was born in San Francisco. Her husband Robert W. Dinsmore, preceded her in death in 1995. Jeanne was a caring, giving, loving family woman and friend. She enjoyed a lifetime of wonderful friends, laughter, entertaining and traveling. Jeanne is survived by her four sons, Brad and wife Connie Dinsmore of Atlanta, Bobby and wife Lisa Dinsmore of Modesto, Barry and wife Cindy Dinsmore of Napa and Brian and wife Mimi Dinsmore of San Francisco. She also enjoyed being Grandma Goose to eight grandchildren: Brianna, Brooke, Madison, Drew, Brandon, Alexandra, Jack and Jacob. Jeanne graduated from Polytechnic High School and San Francisco State University where she earned her degree in Education. She was a kindergarten teacher for many years. Jeanne was a teacher by nature and had a great impact on her grandchildren, teaching them to swim, draw and sew. After moving to Novato in 1968, Bob and Jeanne joined Marin Country Club where they met some of their closest and dearest lifelong friends. After staying home and raising her four sons, Jeanne opened Hansel's Employment Agency. She continued working in the employment and health care industries until retiring two years ago in Sun City Grand, Surprise, AZ. Jeanne loved life and never lost her sense of fun and adventure. She recently spent time visiting her family at Sugarloaf Country Club in Atlanta, going on a family vacation in Lake Tahoe and celebrating her 50 year high school reunion. Jeanne was a devout Catholic and a member of their Catholic Church her entire life. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 16 at 3 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Novato. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Jeanne Dinsmore to Sun City West, Sun Health Hospice, 21739 North 151st Avenue, Sun City West, AZ 85375.
