EVA ERTTER
The graveside service for Eva Lovina Montgomery Ertter, a former Marin resident, will be held at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Solvang, Santa Barbara County.
Mrs. Ertter died Monday in her home in Gualala, Mendocino County, at the age of 81.
Mrs. Ertter, a native of Boise, Idaho, had lived in Novato from 1975 to 1983, and then moved to Mendocino County to be with her daughter.
She and her late husband, Gregory, once operated a taxi company in Boise. They later owned a hardware store in Solvang.
Mrs. Ertter graduated from high school at the age of 60 and learned to play the piano and swim when she was in her 50s. Her husband died in 1960.
She is survived by her son, Robert Ertter of Corral, Idaho; her daughter, Bernadette Sherwood of Gualala; two brothers, Albert and Ivan Montgomery, both of Boise; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
