Eunice F. Shafer
A memorial service for Eunice Fuller Shafter of Novato, a longtime Marin resident and onetime San Rafael teacher, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in San Rafael.

Mrs. Shafer, who was 73, died Monday at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael.

She taught school in San Rafael in the 1930s. In 1930 she had married another teacher, Francis P. Shafer, who later was an administrator in the Tamalpais High School District.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Joan Hare of Sunnyvale; her brother, Dr. George Fuller; and three grandchildren.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

A death notice in the same paper names her grandchildren: Bill, Jim and Julia Hare. Interment private.

A second obituary appeared in the July 22nd paper; it adds a bit more
information:
"She was born and raised in San Rafael, and was a member of the last class to graduate from the E Street campus of San Rafael High School in 1925. After graduation from San Francisco Normal (now San Francisco State), she taught 10 years in San Anselmo's Main School, now Wade Thomas School."

"They lived in San Anselmo until moving to Novato in 1974."
