Louise V. Ives

Passed away quietly at Queen of the Valley Hospital on Thursday, February 14, 2002 at the age of 88. She was born in San Francisco, daughter of Anders Trulsen of Sweden and Felicie Davin Trulsen.

She leaves her sister Eleanor Trulsen of Yountville, son Jerome C. Ives of Truckee, California, and daughter Kristin V. Ives of Middletown, Virginia. She is predeceased by her brother, Davin A. Trulsen. She also leaves two grandchildren, John Ives and Kelly Martin, both of Denver, and two great grandchildren, Sarah and Travis Martin.

She was raised in San Francisco, married and moved to San Anselmo to raise her children. She worked as a secretary for the Commander of the Sixth Air Force Reserve Region at Hamilton Air Force Base until she retired in 1965.
She was an early resident of the Vista Condominiums in Yountville and was active in the Bocce Ball Club, the Napa Community College art and French classes, and a supporter of the many cultural events in the valley.

She will be remembered at a Memorial Mass at Holy Family Mission on Niebaum Lane in Rutherford, Friday, February 22nd at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Yountville Library or the charity of your choice.
