ARNOLD ZANONI
Arnold J. Zanoni, 71, retired Petaluma warehouseman, was found dead yesterday after collapsing during a morning stroll.
The Sonoma County coroner’s office said Zanoni had suffered a heart attack shortly after 9 a.m. while walking in an alley behind the 200 block of Petaluma Boulevard North. Workers at Flugers Engineering found him at 9:30 a.m.
Zanoni was born in Marin County and was reared there and in Petaluma. He had worked for the Hunt and Behrens Food Co. for ten years and for the Golden Eagle Milling Co. for 21 years.
He was a member of the teamsters union.
Zanoni was the husband of the late Aline R. Zanoni. He made his home with a daughter, Rose Vaughn, 129 Rocca Drive.
He also is survived by two other daughters, Marie Peracca of Cotati and Betty Zanoni of Fresno; a sister, Lillian Fosso of Petaluma; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Requiem Mass will be offered Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Petaluma, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Recitation of the rosary will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Sorensen Funeral Home.
