GERTRUDE THORP

Gertrude M. Thorp of San Anselmo died today in a San Francisco hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 66.

Mrs. Thorp, a retired secretary at the Presidio of San Francisco, had resided at 133 Melville Avenue for the last 14 years.

A native of Aberdeen, Md., she moved to San Francisco 40 years ago.

She was a member of the Marin County chapter of the PEO Sisterhood and a former member of the San Francisco chapter.

She is survived by her husband, Godfrey G. Thorp, at the family home.

Funral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at t he Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo. Private inurnment will follow. Memorial gifts to a favorite charity are preferred.
