HUNTER, Wallace Snow - in Walnut Creek April 20th. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wallace Greenwood Hunter and La Blanche Snow Hunter. He married Louise Conner in 1935 in Salt Lake City. He attended school there, graduated from East High School, attended the Tome School in Port Deposit Maryland and attended the University of Utah, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was interested in golf from an early age, playing local courses and the Salt Lake Country Club, won many tournaments and spent many happy hours at the game. Later he joined his father in business in San Francisco, and for over 50 years was General Agent for the Kansas City Life Insurance Co. He played golf at California Golf Club and at Presidio Golf Club, where he served two terms as president. He was a member of the Olympic Club in San Francisco. During World War II he served his country as a Lieutenant, J.G. in the Navy and saw duty in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife; sister, Mrs. Hale Hunter (Bonnie) of San Rafael, Ca; son Dr. Wallace C. Hunter of Big Spring, Texas; daughter Mrs. James Kunkel (Bonnie) of Walnut Creek, Ca; and five loving grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
