Death of an Estimable Woman
JORDAN – In San Rafael, June 12, Emma H., beloved wife of John F. Jordan and sister of John and Henry Lyons, a native of England, aged 67 years, 10 months and 13 days.
____
Mrs. Emma H. Jordan was a prominent figure in San Rafael life, having catered to the public for many years in her capacity of hotel hostess, for which she was very popular, and her many friends regret her departure.
Rev. Dr. White of the Presbyterian Church preached the funeral sermon, a large audience being present. The floral display was beautiful, many friends of the good woman bringing flowers in token of their appreciation and friendship.
The pall-bearers were: William Barr, Henry Knittel, Peter Williams, Henry Gieske, L. A. Lancel and Geo. Shearer.
The remains were consigned to Tamalpais Cemetery where the pine trees and evergreens and daisies blossom. Such is the fate of all.
