PHYLLIS CAREY WICKLAND
A memorial service has been held for Phyllis Carey Wickland of San Rafael. Mrs. Wickland, 67, died July 22 at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley. She had had cancer for several months.
Her longtime employer, Singer Sewing Machine Co., transferred her to San Francisco in 1977. She moved to San Rafael when she retired several years ago.
Mrs. Wickland enjoyed golfing.
She is survived by a daughter, Paige Wickland of Berkeley; two sons, Steven Wickland of Madison, Wis., and Carey Wickland of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Betty Borecky of Florida and June Contreras of Florida; and four grandchildren.
