Vallejo Resident Dies In Marin Of Fall Injuries
Ray H. Bias, 47-year-old Vallejo resident who suffered a basal skull fracture there Monday night in a headlong fall down his apartment stairs, died last night in San Rafael General Hospital.
Death came nearly 24 hours after Bias underwent emergency surgery. He was taken to the local hospital after the mishap in order to obtain the services of a Marin brain specialist, not identified by hospital attendants.
Vallejo police said Bias’ fall apparently came after his wife, Marie, 44, fled their apartment when he became abusive and started beating her.
Bias struck his head on a concrete slab after plunging down a flight of stairs leading from the second-story apartment.
He was employed by the A. C. Hannah Co., Vallejo moving firm.
The body is at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, pending removal to Vallejo.
