JOHN SUACCI
John B. Suacci, a longtime San Francisco resident who made his summer home in Forest Knolls, died yesterday in a San Francisco hospital after a short illness.
Suacci, who would have celebrated his 71st birthday May 31, was a retired painter foreman who worked for the City and County of San Francisco.
He built his summer home in 1918 and vacationed in Marin every year thereafter. His grandparents were among the first Italian settlers who made their home on the southern slopes of Telegraph Hill in the early 1870s. Suacci was born on the hill in 1891.
He leaves his wife, Mary; two sons, John P. Suacci of Greenbrae and Armond E. Suacci of San Francisco; two brothers, Eugene Suacci and Dr. Henry Suacci of San Francisco, and a sister, Mrs. Edith Orbertello of Oakland, and also four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Valente, Marini, Perata and Co. on Green Street in San Francisco.
