Preston McKinney Succumbs
Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Preston McKinney Jr., 52, retired public accountant, who died at his Tiburon home yesterday after a heart attack.
His wife, Joan McKinney, of the San Francisco Chronicle editorial staff, was with him when he was stricken at their home, 4210 Paradise Drive, about 8 a.m. Tiburon firemen tried to revive him without success.
Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in Colma.
He leaves two sons. Michael is a student at San Rafael Military Academy and Preston McKinney III lives in Berkeley. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Nelle McKinney of San Francisco.
A native of San Francisco, McKinney operated a public accounting office in San Francisco for more than 25 years. He retired recently because of ill health. He had lived in Marin for seven years.
He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the St. Francis Yacht Club.
