MERLO, Gladys Joy Selhorn - Passed away April 8, 2002, at her home in Livermore, surrounded by loving family. Gladys was born May 9, 1926, in San Francisco, the youngest of 13 children. She married Vincent D. Merlo in 1953, and spent most of her life in San Mateo, where they raised six daughters. She is survived by Alma Stanford of Seattle; Jenny and John Kelly and Lydia and Paul Schneider of Danville; Laura Merlo and Matt White of Mill Valley; Vera and Dan Turner of Hayward; Neva and Fred Bandelow of Livermore; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grand-children. Also survived by two brothers, Bob and Walter Selhorn, both of San Francisco; and her dear friend John Silva of Livermore. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. Donations in her honor may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
