MARY HERSCOWITZ
Private funeral services for Mrs. Mary Agnes Herscowitz, 52, who died in a fire at her Sausalito apartment Monday night, were held today at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Mrs. Herscowitz, owner of De Femme shop in the Village Fair in Sausalito, was found dead by firemen after flames engulfed her apartment at 42 Marion Avenue. She was asphyxiated in her bed.
Her husband’s 13-year-old shepherd dog was dead on the floor beside her bed. She and her husband, Irvin, a San Francisco pharmacist, had separated in January and Herscowitz moved to San Francisco. They had no children.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that she was the mother of the late James Leusader; she was a native of San Francisco.
