Jay V. McGee Dies At 83
Jay V. McGee, Marin real estate man, died yesterday at his home at 548 Las Colinda Road, San Rafael, after a long illness.
McGee, 83, had lived in Marin for 12 years and until a few months ago was active in the real estate business. He was with Marinwood Hills Realty Associates, San Rafael.
A native of Kansas, McGee came to California 39 years ago and was a merchant in Tulare County before moving to Marin. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Tulare County and a past president of the Chamber of Commerce and t he Kiwanis Club there.
Survivors are his wife, Verna E. McGee; a son, Dr. Jay Elrod McGee of Arcata, Humboldt County; a brother, Charles McGee of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Wesley Redeker of Lawton, Okla. and Mrs. Guy Mills of Oklahoma City, and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Dopkins Funeral Home, Dinuba, Tulare County, with burial in Smith Mountain Cemetery in Tulare County.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Orosi Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund in Tulare County.
