Deaths
Thomas Cummings, one of the early pioneers of the State, died on Monday, April 4th, aged sixty-two years. Cummings was a native of Ireland. He came to California forty-six years ago and had resided with his family in San Rafael for the last sixteen years. He had been in the employ of the California Northwestern Railroad as an engineer for over twenty years. He leaves a widow and four children to mourn his loss. The funeral services took place on Wednesday, April 6th at Santa Rosa, the remains being shipped there by Undertaker Eden.
