SARAH A. DIXON
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sara (sic) Adele Dixon, a longtime Kentfield resident, will be celebrated at 10 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Church in Larkspur.
Mrs. Dixon died Monday, July 6, 1987, at the Bayside Convalescent Hospital in Greenbrae after a lengthy illness. She was 72.
She was born in Oakland and lived more than 30 years in Kentfield. She moved to Grass Valley in 1981, but returned to Marin County last year.
Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker and an avid golfer. She was a longtime member of the Meadow Club in Fairfax and the Olympic Club in San Francisco.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William R. Dixon of Kentfield; a son, Jim Dixon of Kentfield; a daughter, Sally McGillis of Novato; eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Private inurnment will be at Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.
