Lawrence Prosser Miller, 1924 ~ 2002, "Mike"
Mike (as he was known to everyone) was born in Slater, Missouri and later moved to Marshall, Missouri. Mike was the son of Ethyl Prosser Miller and Frank R. Miller who have both preceded him in death, and one brother Frank R. Miller, Jr. also deceased. Mike joined the Navy in 1941 and served for four years in the Submarine Service, stationed mostly in the South Pacific Operation where he saw much action as an Electrician aboard the USS Puffer. In 1945 he was discharged and lived in Marshall, Missouri for several years where he married and later moved to Independence, Missouri and was employed until 1970 at Lake City Arsenal there. Moving to California after retiring, he later was employed by the cable television industry in San Rafael for many years. Mike was above all else a family man. His sons, Michael and David remained close to him during his entire lifetime, playing an important role in each other's lives. He was always helping them fix, repair or giving advice from his vast mechanical knowledge. Mike could fix anything. He is survived by his two sons, three grandchildren Melissa, Stephanie and David, one great granddaughter Madison, and his daughters-in-law Kerstin Miller and Jill Myers. There will be a Funeral Service and Mass Tuesday, September 3rd at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Loretto Parish, 1806 Novato Blvd. in Novato.
