Mrs. Mathilda Jones, One of Oldest Of Marin-ers, Dies
Mrs. Mathilda C. Jones, who came to San Rafael with her husband, the late Samuel Jones, in 1900, died yesterday morning at the local hospital where she had been confined since a fall a month ago. She was 78 years of age.
One of Marin county's oldest residents, Mrs. Jones came to San Rafael directly from her native country, Sweden, making her home on Fremont Road.
She leaves a son, Walter A. Jones, of San Francisco, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Waldyne Swanson.
Funeral will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock from Keaton's Mortuary, San Rafael. Interment, in Santa Rosa, will be private.
