J. J. Mulcahy Killed

John Joseph Mulcahy, a young man of this city, met a sudden death Tuesday afternoon by being run over by a large wagon from which he fell when the horses started to run. Eye witnesses to this sad sight say that young Mulcahy was going around the corner of Third and C streets when his horses started to run, and losing his balance, he fell from his seat and the left hind wheel passed over his head, crushing it in a frightful manner. Coroner Sawyer was summoned and soon had the young man removed.

The coroner’s jury brought in a verdict to the effect that John Joseph Mulcahy came to his death on Nov. 9th, by being run over by a wagon, under which he had accidentally fallen.

The deceased was born in San Rafael in 18 _7 (smudge), and has lived here all his life. He is the son of Mrs. Wm. Mulcahy and the late William Mulcahy, and brother of Agnes and Bert Mulcahy, Mrs. Harry Pothouse, Mrs. Edwin Doody and the late W. P. Mulcahy.

The funeral will be held this morning.
