JAMES A. COSEY

Funeral for James A. Cosey, former Marin resident, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Marin City.

Cosey became ill unexpectedly Thursday while visiting relatives in Marin City and later died at a local hospital.

Cosey, 48, was born in Louisiana and came to California 19 years ago. He lived first in Marin City for about 15 years and then moved to Richmond. He was a construction worker. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia C. Davis of San Francisco; two sons, Bruce and Jackie Cosey of San Francisco; five sisters, Daisy Hickman, Essie B. Cosey and Mary Lou Cosey of Baton Rouge, Olevia Knighton of Oakland and Odeal Williams of Marin City; and four brothers, Joseph Jackson and Peter M. Cosey of San Francisco, Willie W. Cosey of Baton Rouge, and Robert A. Cosey of Marin City.

A quiet hour will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Marin City. Burial will be at Olivet Memorial Park in Colma.
