EDWIN N. STRAND
A family ceremony will be held at sea for Edwin N. Strand of Larkspur.
Mr. Strand, who was 84, died Friday at Marin General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was the associate general counsel for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co.
In 1967, he retired to St. Petersburg, Fla., and lived with his wife, Dorothy, until she died in 1978. A year later, he moved to Larkspur to live with his son.
In Marin, he participated in the Whistlestop lunch program in Ross.
Surviving are two sons, David Strand of Larkspur and Robert Strand of Virginia; a brother, Paul Strand of Glendale, Los Angeles County; a sister, Ruby Brill of Santa Ana, Orange County; and four grandchildren.
The family has asked that donations to his memory be sent to a favorite charity.
