PETERSON, Lucille - Champion of people with disabilities & S.F. community leader. Born, Lucille Towler, Aug. 27, 1916; Detroit. Passed away July 11, 2002; Marin General Hospital after a brief illness. Lucille lived life with grace, determination, generosity and flair. She served 23 years as President of the RCH Parents Auxiliary; Vice President; RCH Board of Directors & Board Chairman of Community Employment Services. Other board service included - ARC; Social Development Centers Inc.; Opportunity Unlimited, Golden Gate Regional Center & S. F. Developmental Disabilities Council. She received many community honors. Preceded in death by husband, Harry, sisters; June Quattro, Betty Moran and brother, Robert Towler. Survived by devoted daughter Betti and loving nieces Kathleen Moran and Susan Sloan, as well as countless friends. Memorial Service, Monday, September 9th 11:30 AM at RCH Inc., (Recreation Center for the Handicapped), 207 Skyline at Herbst Rd. Contributions preferred to RCH Inc. and Community Employment Services.
