GEORGE LASTER
Former Marin resident
George “Wally” Laster of Reno, Nev., and formerly of Marin died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1990, at the Washoe County Medical Center in Reno. He was 65.
Mr. Lasher was born in Los Angeles.
He had lived in Reno since 1970. Before that he lived in Marin, w here he attended Tamalpais High School.
Mr. Laster was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He served as a pilot in World War II and Korea. He was a member of the Big C Cal Alumni Association and the Washoe County Men’s Golf Club. He was an avid hunter.
Mr. Laster is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Laster of Reno; a son, Mike Laster of Sparks, Nev.; a daughter, Teri Nelson of Reno; his mother, Flora Laster of Reno, and four grandchildren.
His father, Harold Laster, died in 1986, and a son, Tim Laster, died in 1983.
Private memorial services were held in San Rafael, with burial at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
