GLADYS A. WARNER
A funeral for Gladys A. Warner of San Rafael will be held at 6 tonight at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Mrs. Warner died Tuesday at the Hacienda Care Center in Petaluma after a short illness. She was 88.
She was a native of Ohio and moved 1 1/2 years ago to San Rafael.
Mrs. Warner as a young woman played piano for the silent movies. She later worked 20 years as a licensed practical nurse.
Mrs. Warner was a member of Terra Linda Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Irwin S. Warner, died in 1969.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Ferris of Florida and Betty Frederick of San Rafael; a son, Robert Strong of Florida; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be Saturday at Maple Mound Cemetery in Creston, Ohio.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the grandmother of Sandra Stokes, Susan Vanderbilt, Mark Blaze, Betty Anne Gould, Barbara Ross, Andrea Souza, Paul Frederick and Scott Blaze, all of California. Also survived by 10 additional grandchildren throughout the U.S. and Canada.
