ALMA M. GRADY

A Mass of Christian Burial was to be celebrated this morning at Mission San Rafael Arcangel in San Rafael for Alma M. Grady, a longtime San Rafael resident.

Mrs. Grady died Tuesday, March 1, 1988, at the Rafael Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after an illness of one week.

She was born in San Francisco and came to San Rafael with her family after the 1906 earthquake and fire.

Her husband, George J. Grady Jr., operated the Flower Shop on Fourth Street in San Rafael until his death many years ago. At that time, Mrs. Grady took over operation of the shop.

She was a member of Lagan Institute of the Young Ladies Institute.

Mrs. Grady is survived by her daughter, Marion A. Grady; her son, George J. Grady Jr., both of San Rafael; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited Wednesday evening at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.

Burial was to be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.

The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
