RICHARDSON, Joan -- Died February 23, 2002 at age 57 at her home in San Anselmo. Preceded in death by her husband, Jerry A. Neal, she is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Brontsema; by her sisters Anne Richardson and Constance Simson; and by her niece Amy Van Vechten and her nephew Thomas Van Vechten. A graduate of Berkeley High School and Occidental College, she graduated first in her class from Golden Gate University Law School. She became a partner in the San Francisco law firm of Graham & James, subsequently leaving the firm to practice probate and estate law privately A private memorial will be arranged.
