LUCIEN J. GORMAN

Lucien “Lou” J. Gorman of Novato, a head waiter at the Valhalla Inn in Sausalito, died Wednesday at a local hospital after becoming ill unexpectedly.

Gorman, 61, was born and reared in Massachusetts and had lived in California 21 years and in Marin 17 years.

He had worked for 10 years at the Valhalla and also owned the Redwood Restaurant in Mill Valley from 1966-69.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Gorman of Novato; three daughters, Lisa Michele and Kristina Gorman of Novato and Catherine Freedman of Virginia; two sons, David Gorman of East Brunswick, N. J. and Daniel Gorman of Dayton, Ohio, and four brothers and one sister.

A private family service has been held. The family has asked that memorial gifts go to the American Heart Association.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that inurnment was in Bahia Valley Memorial Park.
