Funeral of Mrs. Borges Monday
Funeral service was held last Monday in Gridley, Butte county, for Mrs. Marina Borges, 80 years of age, who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. S. Bettencourt, at Greenbrae. She and her late husband, Joseph Borges had spent most of their life on a ranch near Gridley.
Besides the daughter she leaves two sons, Louis and Felix Borges; two sisters, Mrs. M. L. Azevedo and Barbara Avilla. Mrs. Borges was a native of the Azores, and was a member of Vallejo Council, S. P. R. S. I.
Rosary was held Saturday at the Keaton Mortuary.
