EVELYN D. HUTCHINS
Evelyn D. Hutchins, 65, of Santa Venetia, a homemaker, died Wednesday at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of Ashton L. Hutchins, a retired stereotyper and former Independent-Journal employee.
Mrs. Hutchins was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Bolinas Yacht Club. She was a native of San Francisco and had been a resident of Marin for 23 years.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Ashton L. Hutchins Jr. of Novato and David A. Hutchins of Novato; three brothers, Joseph Garcia, George Galindo and John Galindo, all of San Francisco; a sister, Mary Marquez of San Francisco; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Santa Venetia. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
