Richard Conrad "Rich, Dick" Thiede
Passed away April 2, 2002 in Santa Rosa at the age of 65. Rich was born in Camden, New Jersey and raised in Cranford, New Jersey. He graduated from Lehigh University and moved to California in 1964 where he earned his post-graduate degree at U.S.C. Rich was a member of the Redwood Empire Corsillo, Alliance Redwood Coast Housing, Mason's, and was an officer for Firemen's Fund Insurance Co. Rich enjoyed music, cooking, travel, High Tech, Acting and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta deVaul; son Richard Charles Thiede; sister Barbara T. Sibio; stepdaughter Elizabeth Toomey; stepson Mark Norys; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hills Chapel in Sebastopol, 1700 Pleasant Hill Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glide Memorial Church, 330 Ellis Street, San Francisco, CA 94102.
