Edward F. Wargin

Of San Rafael and Sonoma, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2002 at the Greenbrae Care Facility at age 89. He was born in Oakland, September 4, 1912, and graduated in electrical engineering from San Jose State. His wife, Alys Dwyer of San Anselmo, with whom he was married for 58 years, died in 1993.

He began his engineering career with C&A Sugar Refinery in Crockett, then with General Electric for many years, and finally retired from B.A.R.T. After moving to Sonoma in 1973, he and his wife became active members of the Organ Grinders Club. He was a longtime ham radio operator, with the call letters W6AZQ.

He is survived by nieces, Penny Aspey of Fort Bragg, Denise Smith of Reno, Nevada and Crispin Livak of Mill Valley, two grand nephews and five grand nieces. The Marin Humane Society was an organization dear to his heart.
