Ann Weston
Passed away peacefully on August 9, 2002, at the age of 57. Born in San Francisco, Ann was raised in Southern California, graduated from San Marino High School and the University of Redlands, and completed an internship in public affairs with the Coro Foundation in San Francisco. A cellist with the Marin Symphony for 30 years, Ann also served on the Board of Directors of the Symphony and the Association of California Symphony Orchestras. A realtor for the past 13 years, she served as President of the Marin Association of Realtors, chaired the Affordable Housing Committee for the Association, and was named Realtor of the Year 2001. Her civic contributions included chairing the Downtown Vision Committee for the City of San Rafael and the Board of Directors of the San Rafael's Chamber of Commerce, where she was a member of the Affordable Housing Committee. Ann is survived by a son, John Weston of Carmel, and a sister, Jeanie Mills of Fullerton, California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marin Symphony Association, 4340 Redwood Hwy. 409-C, San Rafael 94903, or a charity of one's choice. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at the Showcase Theater, Marin Civic Center, 10 Avenue of the Flags.
