WINN, Howard Jay - died March 3, 2002 after a long illness. He was 81. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His beloved and loving family includes his wife, Stella Holmes Winn, his daughter Judy Winn-Bell and son-in-law Steve Hayashi, sister Georgina Heinkel and brother-in-law Charles Heinkel, and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Vancouver B.C. and raised in Alameda, Howard lived his adult life on the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais, where he was an active and well-loved member of the Muir Woods Park community. A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on April 21, 1-4 PM, at the Muir Woods Park Community Association, 40 Ridge Ave, Mill Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, the American Cancer Society or the MWPCA Memorial Fund.
