MAYME F. CUNHA

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mayme F. Cunha of Petaluma, who was reared in Marin, will be recited at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.

She died on Sunday, July 24, 1988, at her home after a long illness. She was 89.

Mrs. Cunha was born in Oroville and moved to Marin as a child. She was reared in Sausalito and graduated from Tamalpais High School.

She was married in San Francisco and moved to Petaluma 60 years ago.

She worked many years for Poultry Producers in Petaluma before going to work at Pedroni’s Delicatessen in Petaluma. She worked there for 35 years, leaving in 1978 to join her late son-in-law, Dick Adams, in running the Bundersen Seed Co. in Petaluma.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Church, Petaluma, Women’s Club and Petaluma Holy Ghost Society. Mrs. Cunha was also a member of gardening groups, including the American Fuchsia Society, Petaluma Garden Club and Petaluma Flower Gardeners. She belonged to the American Association of Retired Persons.

Her survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Adams of Petaluma, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.

Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Church in Petaluma.

The family prefers memorial donations to Hospice of Petaluma, 415 A St., Petaluma, 94952.
