RUTH LOIS HEALEY
Retired home economics teacher
Ruth Lois Healey, a Mill Valley native who was born in the family home next to Tamalpais High School, died at home in San Bruno Saturday, Jan. 13, 1990. She was 73.
Her father, the late Ernest E. Wood, built Tamalpais High School with the help of students and $135,000 in bond money.
Mrs. Healey taught home economics in the San Juan School District in Sacramento.
She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Anderson of San Bruno; a stepson, Douglas Healey of Sacramento; two sisters, Mildred Royle of San Rafael and Vivian Gustafson of Auburn; two granddaughters and three step-grandchildren.
