ERNEST BABIN

Military services for Maj. Ernest R. Babin, 50, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery. An honor guard from San Francisco Presidio will be present.

The Independent Journal reported incorrectly on Saturday that a private funeral had been held.

Major Babin, who served in World War II and the Korean War, was assigned to Fort Irwin, San Bernadino County, when he retired six years ago.

Inurnment will follow the services.
