ETHEL HEAPHY
Mrs. Ethel M. Heaphy, 76, a San Rafael resident for the past 10 years, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Before moving to Marin County, Mrs. Heaphy, a native of England, lived in New York City, where she was an adjustment clerk for a large department store.
Mrs. Heaphy lived in San Rafael with her sister, Mrs. Clementina Vrang, at 534 Mission Avenue.
In addition to Mrs. Vrang, Mrs. Heaphy is survived by a brother, Thomas H. Smith, England.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Inurnment will be at Mt. Tamalpais Crematory.
Memorial contributions to American Cancer Society are preferred by the family.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the widow of Thomas M. Heaphy and the sister of the late Charles T. Smith and P. J. Smith. She was the aunt of Gary F. Smith of El Cerrito and Ernie Smith of England.
