Karl Olson, Carpenter, Succumbs
Karl U. Olson, a retired carpenter, of 305 Bolinas Avenue, Fairfax, died at home yesterday after a long illness.
A native of Sweden, he had lived in Marin County for 55 years.
Olson was a member of Fairfax Masonic Lodge 556, California Bodies, Scottish Rites, the Swedish Society of San Francisco and Morgarten Grove 3, Druids.
Surviving are his wife, Elsa Olson, of the home address; a son, Karl A. Olson of Zephyr Cove, Nev., a former major league baseball player; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Nelson of Fairfax and Mrs. Julia Olson and Mrs. Esther Olson of Sweden; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo under the auspices of Fairfax Masonic Lodge 556. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
