MARIAN D. STELLING
Lifelong Sausalito resident

Marian Dorothy Stelling of Sausalito died Tuesday, July 3, 1990, at CareWest Bayside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Kentfield. She was 89.

She was a graduate of Tamalpais High School.

She worked for Sausalito Taxi as a dispatcher, and later spent 25 years working at the Winship Sweetshop, now called the Winship Restaurant, in Sausalito.

Mrs. Stelling enjoyed working, and she put off her retirement until the age of 82, when she suffered a stroke.

Mrs. Stelling is survived by a grandson, Robert Dinehart, who lives on the East Coast; a granddaughter, Cissy Dinehart of Ukiah; and a nephew, Bennett Valdes of Novato. Her husband, Edward Stelling, died earlier.

A prayer vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be private.

The family prefers memorial gifts to a favorite charity.
