JOHN CHUR
Former Presidio fire chief
John Chur of Novato died Saturday, June 30, 1990, at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael following a long illness. He was 77.
He was born in Hawaii. He worked many years for the U.S. civil service, retiring as the San Francisco Presidio fire chief. He has lived in Novato since 1973.
He is survived by his wife, Reiko Chur of Novato; a daughter, Lois Chur of Pinole; a son, Jeff Chur of Novato; and one grandchild.
Private services have been held. Arrangements were by Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel in Santa Rosa.
