Tilbert Peter Mersch
Died unexpectedly on Monday morning, June 3, 2002 in San Rafael. He is survived by his sister, Renate Berger of Berlin, Germany, his brother Falk Mersch of Oxford, England, and his long time girlfriend Vicki Basil. Tilbert was born on February 26, 1940 in Krojanke, Germany to Gisele and Theodor Mersch. Tilbert immigrated to California at the age of 19 and worked in the restaurant business until his death. He was employed by the El Paseo restaurant in Mill Valley. Tilbert was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A Memorial Service, followed by a light lunch, will be held in his honor at 11:15 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2002, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in San Francisco. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association in his name.
