LENA LINDSEY DiMARE
Painter of the Ozarks
Lena E. Lindsey DiMare of Strawberry died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1990, at Marin General Hospital. She was 86.
Mrs. DiMare was born in St. Genevieve, Mo. She taught arts and crafts in Missouri and was known as a painter of the Ozarks.
She moved to California in 1945 and owned and operated an antique shop in Glen Ellen.
Mrs. DiMare is survived by two sons, Donald J. Lindsey of Petaluma and Jim Lindsey of Doe Run, Mo.; three daughters, Iris Gist of Petaluma, Mary Allen of Orland, Glenn County, and Dorotha Kerr of Sausalito; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday at Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo. The funeral and burial will be in Farmington, Mo.
Her family asked that memorial contributions go to a favorite charity.
