ANNETTE C. CUDWORTH
A Mass of Christian Burial for Annette C. Cudworth, former Marin elementary school teacher and a longtime resident of San Anselmo, will be said at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Fairfax.
Mrs. Cudworth died Thursday, July 14, 1988. She was 80.
Mrs. Cudworth, a native of San Francisco, lived in San Anselmo since 1950.
She taught for many years at St. Anselm’s School in Ross and St. Patrick’s School in Larkspur.
Mrs. Cudworth also worked at Macy’s in San Rafael for several years, and belonged to the Retail Clerks Union.
She was a member of the American Association of Retired People, the Independent Order of Foresters, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Agnes Court and Marin Goldenaires.
Her husband, Fraser N. Cudworth, was mayor of San Anselmo during the 1950s. Mr. Cudworth died in 1969.
The Fairfax Senior Association nominated Mrs. Cudworth for the Marin Outstanding Senior Citizen Award in 1982.
Mrs. Cudworth is survived by a daughter, Karen Sikes of Walnut Creek; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A son, Thomas F. Cudworth, died in 1974.
Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be sent to the Marin Chapter of the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15, San Rafael 94915 or a favorite charity.
