Killed by Runaway Horse
James T. Cockril of Bodega was injured by a runaway horse on Wednesday of last week. He was training a horse, and the animal ran away near bodega Road. He was thrown over the grade, his skull was fractured, and he sustained other injuries. The accident happened almost opposite the Watson schoolhouse. He was carried to Bodega where he was given every attention. He lingered until Sunday night.
The young man was a native of Bodega and was aged 24 years and 8 months. He had spent his entire life in western Sonoma where he was well known and highly esteemed, and where he leaves many friends and former schoolmates who regret his untimely demise. He leaves besides his parents, several brothers and sisters. He was a member of several fraternal orders.
