A Floater Identified
On October 21st last Coroner Eden was notified that a body had washed ashore at Lime Point, this county. He went to the Point and held an inquest on the body, which was considerably decomposed, and bore no marks or means of identification. He, however, made a minute record of description, to aid if possible in identifying the unfortunate at some future time, and the body was buried in the potter’s field.
Last Saturday a man giving the name of Bernardino Ansenio, living at 422 Drum street, San Francisco, called at the coroner’s office, and by reading over the minutes made by Coroner Eden was able to identify the deceased as those of John Rolineo, a native of the Azores, aged 26, and a sailor by occupation, enabling the coroner to have marked one more nameless grave in the potter’s field.
